You guys, I got a new fando-

Yeah, no, I can't even joke about that.



Instead, here is an epiphany that I had about Friday (wait, maybe FRIDAY is my new fandom!)

Anyway, I read this article about the guy who actually wrote Friday.

I can totally see the song-writing process, too....obviously he had the lyrics started, he was on a roll, "kickin' in the front seat, sittin' in the back seat"...and then he was like, "well, shit, where's the singer supposed to sit?....OH, i'll incorporate THAT VERY QUESTION into the song - there ya go, more lyrics, BAM."


So anyway, this reminded me of something I thought about when I was listening to "I Gotta Feeling" the other night. Which is that you really can't criticize Friday's lyrics, when a hugely successful group like Black Eyed Peas has an immensely popular song containing the following lyrics:

Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday, Saturday,
Saturday and Sunday
Get get get get get
With us you know what we say
Party everyday p-p-p-party
Party everyday


I'm just sayin'....

I've also been thinking about how Friday basically reflects the true desires of my 13 year old self, namely:

- my own music video (DID AUTOTUNE EXIST THEN? IF SO, I TOTALLY COULD HAVE SUNG THIS. otherwise, no.)

- my own rapper ("in-house rapper Sir-Rhymes-a-lot" - seriously.)

- my friends picking me up in their convertible

If my parents would have paid $2,000 for me to make a music video, that basically would have made all of my dreams come true.
