first of all, i wasn't kidding about going to Rum Bar every night. I dragged Dan there tonight and we had some more One Barrel and Cokes and they were (still) awesome.

second of all, omg feelin' the love tonight. ILU guys so much, I'm gonna fic all over you so hard next week, fer srs. <3

AWESOME NIGHT TONIGHT.

Went to eat dinner in the bar in our building....discovered that they have on their menu THE FUCKING GRILLED CHEESE CHEESEBURGER!!! Do you know what I'm talking about? It's a cheeseburger between TWO GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES! OMG. Dan and I split one. It was amazingly delicious. I told him that if he ever sees me eat an entire one of those, he should shoot me immediately. [Unless I'm pregnant.] [I'm not.]

THEN. We took our new favorite drink (apple cider + spiced rum) and went for a walk. And discovered my new favorite secret place in all of Philly. Fucking amazing space down by the river, 5 minutes from our apt that neither of us knew about it until Dan discovered it a few days ago. I want to go there every day. And it makes me wish I smoked pot because it would be the BEST PLACE EVER.

Then came home to watch Whale Wars :-/ Sad episode tonight about the ramming of the Ady Gil. Gah. I knew it was coming, still kind of emotional :-( Seeing the captain/owner's sadness at losing his ship is just heartbreaking.

Yesterday was the last day of Beer Week in Philly, so Dan and I set off on a valiant quest. We were trying to go to a specific Beer Brunch, but there was no one there, so instead we decided to bike around South Philly in search of a different new bar that we'd heard of. We biked A LOT and sweated our asses off because it was so hot and humid, it felt like the freaking rainforest. When we finally found a decent looking bar, we went in, I asked for some napkins to wipe the sweat off my face, and the bartender asked me if I wanted a towel :-/

We ended up going to four different bars that had, like, gourmet menus AND gourmet / expensive / high ABV beers. omg, sooooo good. we ate and drank at each bar...Dan spent $18 on one 12 oz. bottle of beer (18% ABV), we got to try some new things from our favorite breweries, and got TRASHED. Also watched some World Cup and somehow ended up buying a pack of clove cigarettes and smoking a few of them (sooo good, but it makes me a total hypocrite since I basically made Dan quit smoking). Then we came home and passed out by 8:30 PM. No pictures, 'cause I had no idea what an epic adventure it would be, so I didn't bring a camera :-(

So that was yesterday. Today I realized that I need to post right before work every day so I can get some emails, because today i got none - i was also super busy, so it probably would have been a bad idea, but since when has that stopped me?

Anyway, the point of all this is that - I NEED A MEME! A good one. So here's the meme:

Sometimes I wish I could understand my brain.

So I took a mini-break from epic Pinto fic today (21,000 words and counting). I decided to try to write some quick fics and see how it went. I ended up writing four (4!) fics, each between 1,000-2,000 words long. 3 Pinto, 1 Kirk/Spock. HERE'S THE THING - I'm going to SAVE THEM and post them for special occasions, such as people's birthdays or times when I feel like i haven't posted in forever, or when I am working on a longer fic that's not going to get done for a while and i want people to ~~appreciate~~ remember my existence.

here's the other thing - it was such a rush to write 4 fics in one day. i kinda want to try it again? tomorrow? TERRIBLE IDEA! speaking of ideas, i couldn't fucking believe that i came up with ideas for 4 fics today. two hardest things for me in writing - 1) ideas. 2) ideas that take less than 2,000 words to execute.

SO. if you want to help out (and if LJ decides on a whim to actually fucking email me my comments, heaven forbid, but who's bitter), give me some prompts. not the kind where i am promising to write a response. but, if i find an idea striking, maybe it will help me to spew fics like insanity like i did today. or maybe i will take your prompt and make it into something completely different, thereby ruining everything you were hoping for. you know. that sort of thing. i'll take pinto, kirk/spock, kirk/mccoy, or karl/zach. ETA: AND TELL ME WHEN YOUR BIRTHDAY IS FOR A CHANCE TO WIN, I.E. MAYBE IF I HAVE A DEADLINE I WILL BE ABLE TO FORCE THE INSPIRATION. OR JUST GET DEPRESSED THAT I CAN'T. EITHER WAY. TELL MEEEEEEE!

after i am done with this little obsession, i will go back and finish epic pinto. that fic is my life and i won't stop until it's DONE! but, i do think this little break will be good for my ~~smut~~ soul.

I just spilled a margarita all over my laptop. I think I fixed it but if you never hear from me again, that's why.

It's Dan's birthday, so I'm off to make tacos. And refill my margarita, obvs.

PS - For his birthday, I got him Boondock Saints II, Avatar (pre-ordered, also I just learned that it's showing at the Franklin Institute IMAX until April 18!!), flip-flops with a bottle opener on the strap, and a bottle of expensive rum. So, yeah, that basically sums up our relationship right there. Movies and booze ;-)
