You're the only other person on my flist that was friended and I wanted to touch base with someone I knew, to see they had anything to add to the situation. That's all :)
I was friended after browsing it to see what's going on. Here's my GUESS: it's an April Fools joke that logs your IP, and if they see you clicked at all, they friend you, and later will try to embarrass everyone who was curious enough to click. That's just my guess, because I've learned that LJ humor isn't always my own brand of humor. But yeah, users don't have the power to stop someone from friending them, so it is what it is, I suppose.
i was friended before i heard of it too. i feel like whoever it was was going through fic comms or fic comments and just friending everyone they found? who knows.
