One More Cup of Coffee - The Coffee Fix Fanmix

I made a music mix for the Coffee Fix 'verse! And missestrella made the fucking adorable cover art that you see above!

My focus was on the themes and lyrics, and as a result, this mix has a little of everything - folk, country, reggae, indie, and more.

The order of the songs follows the course of Chris and Zach's relationship, and ends with a couple songs focused on the kids. Don't worry, I only teared up like 5 or 6 times making this mix...

("You and I buy star maps and drive my car around Los Angeles...")

02. Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop - Landon Pigg
(only the most perfect song for this series and this mix)

03. Mr. Mom - Lonestar
(it's a country song, and not exactly the same situation, but how could I not include it?!)

04. MakeDamnSure - Taking Back Sunday
(the token angry song - "I just want to break you down so badly..." - thanks to audiograms for the recommendation!)

05. One More Cup of Coffee - Damian Marley
(you would not believe my excitement when I discovered this song while putting this mix together - so perfect, and also my new favorite song)

06. Goodbye to You - Michelle Branch
(saddest breakup song ever)

07. Nothing Better - Postal Service
(different views on the relationship - the idealist and the realist)

08. I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You - Colin Hay
(an obvious theme - and the song just happens to mention coffee in the first line...)

09. Do You Love Coffee? - Braid
(perfect title and there's an appropriate question in the lyrics too)

10. Better Things - Passion Pit
("Better things are coming..." - with an intro featuring Jesse and Gavin!)

11. Home to Me is Anywhere You Are - Tom Paxton
(self-explanatory, I believe)

12. Time After Time - Quietdrive
(sorry Cyndi Lauper, but this cover is amaaaazing)

13. Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
(saddest happy song ever)

14. Circle Game - Joni Mitchell
("We can't return, we can only look, behind from where we came..." - and it's about a boy growing up)

15. Forever Young - Rod Stewart
(pretty sure this song makes Zach and Chris cry)

16. Teach Your Children - Crosby Stills Nash & Young
(all lj-cut text from the series is taken from this song...unfortunately, I'm running out of lyrics!)

One Cup of Coffee (reprise) - Bob Marley
(I like the other version better, but this is the original and includes a line about kids, so I just had to include it)
