ahhh, you're so mean, just what i need, more ideas nagging at my brain to be written ;-)
i described it as a present-day au so that's definitely where i'm picturing it. the other challenge is that i've really enjoyed keeping it between the two of them...it would be interesting to try to continue that but to have them in a place where they are interacting with other people.
i myself have only a few ideas of their backgrounds/lives outside of these fics (e.g. what was mccoy doing the day he cancelled jim's appointment in the first story?)
"how did someone that bright, end up in a government job?" - ouch! ha ha, i don't really subscribe to this belief, btw...i had a feeling it might come across that way, but i really don't mean any offense or stereotype of gov't employees in general.
